    About the Position:
    Spectacular Kids is currently seeking an Executive Director in Kingwood! The role of the Executive Director is to oversee all aspects of their assigned clinic location from a clinical standpoint, including insurance, therapy services, and staff. The Executive Director works closely with the CEO to make continuous improvements for the growth and maintenance of the company. Essential components of this position are indicated below, but are subject to change at the discretion of Spectacular Kids. 
    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
    • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Must be proficient in systems such as Central Reach utilized by the company.
    • Must be able to make quick decisions for the benefit of the company.
    • Must be able to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications.
    • Must be able to provide direct feedback to various positions within the company.
    • Must be able to multitask.
    • Must be able to provide timely follow-ups to vendors and clients.
    • Must be solution oriented.
    • Must be consistent and reliable.
    •  Must promote a team environment.
    • Must have extensive knowledge of ABA.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to travel in and out of state.
    • Must be able to go from sitting in a chair or on the floor to standing quickly.
    • Must be able to implement and train all Safety-Care physical holds without difficulty. 
    Job Description:
    1. Conduct meetings with Operations Manager regarding status of credentialing with insurance.
    2. Conduct meetings with Lead BCBA to update on any new policies or procedures and concerns to be addressed during the weekly BCBA meetings.
    3. Conduct weekly meetings with Human Resources to stay abreast of staff issues, company insurance plans and other benefits, first aid and CPR timelines, team building, and hiring timelines.
    4. Attend meetings with CEO and CFO to review projections and goals.
    5. Weekly communication with CFO for client account issues to address.
    6. Interview all levels of staff with the HR Generalist for potential positions within your location.
    7. Conduct bi-monthly meetings with the Intake Coordinator for updates on the waiting list and client insurance specifications.
    8. Initiate and maintain relationships with community referral sources, including school districts.
    9. Initiate and assign creation or revisions of required documents regarding any policies and procedures to be reviewed by the CEO for final approval.
    10. Create ideas to revamp existing programs to fit needs of clients and staff.
    11. Enhance policies to increase overall operations of the company.
    12. Communicate with client’s caregivers to maintain awareness of improvements needed in the business structure.
    13. Manage and oversee any client issues.
    14. Attend Chamber of Commerce meetings for networking.
    15. Join various community groups to aide in networking.
    16. Stay abreast of all changes regarding insurance companies we are in network with.
    17. Guide communications with parents and staff regarding changes in insurance and policies.
    18. Work with Marketing Representative to coordinate community trainings and events at your SpecKids location.
    19. Conduct quarterly staff meetings with all staff members.
    20. Plan and meet deadlines for various business requirements.
    21. Initiate edits to parent handbook, staff handbook, and other policies and procedures.
    22. Guide decisions on who will attend which conferences.
    23. Guide decisions on teams and where new staff will go.
    24. Attend conferences as required by the CEO.

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Position

    About the Position:
    Spectacular Kids provides clinic-based ABA services to children between the age of diagnosis through 10 years of age. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with children and maximizing progress! 
    Required Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree in ABA or related field
    • Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
    • Extensive knowledge of ABA for our client base (diagnosis and age)
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Extensive knowledge of data analysis
    • Ability to conduct assessments using ABLLS or VB-MAPP
    • Extensive knowledge of client programming
    **This position is also available to those candidates currently working towards their BCBA. Supervision is provided.**
    Job Description:
    1. Conduct initial assessments for new clients and re-evaluations every 6 months.
    2. Write thorough and extensive reports summarizing results of assessments.
    3. Conduct parent meetings to review results of assessments and goals for treatment plans.
    4. Create an individualized treatment plan for clients based on results of assessments.
    5. Train and supervise direct care staff on treatment plans for each client.
    6. Review client data often, and use this knowledge to adjust programming as needed.
    7. Write monthly summary reports for client progress.
    8. Conduct functional analyses (FA) to determine functions of behavior, interpret results, and implement appropriate treatments
    9. Supervise clients directly on a weekly basis.
    10. Maintain appropriate documentation as required by insurance companies.
    11. Attend yearly conferences to continue to build knowledge of ABA principles.
    12. Maintain required continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the BACB.
    13. Maintain all ethical standards as required by the BACB.
    14. Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
    15. Determine necessary stimuli to be created or purchased for all clients.

  • Behavior Technician Position

    About the Position:
    Spectacular Kids is currently seeking Behavior Technicians! We are looking for individuals who possess a positive attitude, are motivated, and enjoy working with children to join our team. The Behavior Technicians provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy directly to children between the ages of 1 and 10 years old, who have a diagnosis of autism or a related disorder. Therapy is done on a 1:1 ratio, with each technician being assigned to a particular client throughout the day. Behavior Technicians are supervised and trained by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and training staff. Candidates do not need to have ABA experience to qualify, but must enjoy working with children. Training is provided to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field 
    • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
    • Team player
    • Experience working with children between the ages of 2 and 10 years
    • Punctual
    • ABA experience is a plus, but not required
     
    Job Description:
    1. Work directly 1:1 with clients
    2. Provide enthusiastic reinforcement for clients
    3. Run discrete trials based on descriptions provided by the BCBA
    4. Implement behavioral protocol provided by the BCBA
    5. Work collaboratively with a team of behavior technicians
