Community Parent Training - September 2016

August 08, 2016

We have scheduled our next FREE Saturday community training! In an effort to educate the community on various topics in ABA we offer these free trainings that are open to the public. Our next training will cover strategies for navigating the Texas public school system for parents who have children diagnosed with autism and other related disorders.

September Topic: Navigating the Public School System

Navigating the special education system in Texas public schools is not an easy task. What is your child entitled to? What should be included in the IEP? And what exactly are all of those acronyms being thrown around in the IEP meeting? This training will provide an overview of special education services in Texas public schools, and what you as a parent need to know to support your child most effectively. We will separate fact from fiction and provide an insider’s look into the system. A question and answer session will be held after the presentation.

Our September training will be held at our Kingwood clinic on Saturday, September 10th 10am – 12pm

Attendees must RSVP for this training by September 2nd, 2016.

To RSVP, please call Susanne Spears at: 281-713-8980 ext. 204

We will be offering more free Saturday trainings in the future. More information on Saturday trainings will be available on our website soon!
