Halloween is right around the corner! How can you help your child prepare?
1. Practice! Set up mock trick or treating around the house. Have someone behind various doors, while you practice having your child knock and say “trick-or-treat.”
2. Read books related to trick-or-treating to help prepare your child for what to expect.
3. Have a countdown calendar to help your child prepare for and know when the date arrives.
4. Working on general compliance such as waiting, walking, and staying by a parent’s side are always important for fun away from home!
